What is Augmented Reality (AR)?
Augmented Reality (AR) is the integration of digital information with the user’s environment in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, AR uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it. An example of AR in your child’s life will be the use of a tablet (like iPad) to scan a picture in a book, and the picture comes to life in a 3D manner in the tablet screen. AR is an exciting technology as it allows overlay of extra information to a user’s physical environment in real time.
Why learn Augmented Reality (AR)?
AR has been identified as one of the 3D technology that will have many uses and applications in education, businesses, healthcare, military, and many more sectors. Let your child learn the basic concepts of AR, how it works and see some simple AR applications to stoke their imagination and strengthen their understanding of the 3D technology world. It’s never too early for your child to learn new stuff that will be common when he grows up.
How do my kids learn AR?
Your kid will learn the basic concepts of how AR works, get hands-on exercises on AR applications, and play AR games.
